We have two facilities, with a variety of sizes of rooms and a hall, which are available for use by groups and individuals at community rates. In addition there is a Counselling room available.

Groups are listed by venue and then in alphabetical order. For more information about any of the activities below, please contact us.

  • Capoeira Classes with Master China: an art form created in Brazil which is today recognized as a self-defense, a fight, a dance and a culture of the people, Friday 6.00-7.30 pm
  • Capoeira Mandinga Aotearoa: a Brazilian fighting art with music, movement, gymnastics, theatrics and play. Thursday 7.00-9.00 pm
  • Grey Lynn School: Tuesday Assemblies
  • Grey Lynn Senior Citizens: a support group for those over 55 years - Mondays 8.00-2.30pm
  • Narcotics Anonymous: a safe place to meet with other recovering addicts - Wednesdays, 6.45-9.00pm
  • Open Toy Box (Toy Library): February - November: Wed & Sat 9.30 - 11.30am.

  • Performance Net:Dance and drama classes for 4-9 year old children. Tuesday 4.00-7.00 pm
  • Shaolin (Nam Pai Chuan) Kung Fu Classes: Traditional Chinese martial art teaching internal/external strength, flexibility, sparring, weapons and qi gong. Monday and Thursday nights 6-8:30pm. Call Dion on 0274 896030 http://www.shaolinkungfu.co.nz
  • Singing Rainbows fun, parent/child interactive pre-school music classes. Thursdays 9.30am for children 2 and ½ to 4 years of age, 10.30am for children 1 and ½ to 2 and ½ years of age.   • Drumsong: African drumming classes - Thursdays 6.00-9.00pm
  • Kidz Space: A Progressive Christian Education Programme for Kids 3-12year -Sunday 10.30-11.30am
  • Long White Cloud: Meditation group - Tuesdays 7.30-8.30pm
  • Michelle Coneybeer: counselling session arranged by appointment
  • New Light: Meditation group - once a month
  • St Columba: A Progressive Christian Anglican congregation - Sunday 10.00-11.30am
  • Tongan Mission: an Anglican, Tongan language speaking, congregation and youth group - Sundays, 12.30-4pm.

Gardens

  • Grey Lynn Community Gardens: behind the hall there is a space for organic gardening and the development of permaculture. More information about the Community Gardens of is available at the preceding link.
  • Sanctuary, Peace and Maori Healing Gardens: Our Gardens are open every day for refreshment amidst the pressures and the busyness of city life.

The Valerie Lagorio Labyrinth

  • The Labyrinth prayer walk way is available for meditation and quiet reflection. A trained facilitator is available for groups and individuals.
