Community Gardens

Originally of the evicted Basque park garden group, Adrian and Karla are two of a number of skilled volunteers maintaining a community garden within the St Columba church grounds.

Plots over flow with everything from fruit trees, carrots, and beans to herbs and flowers. The garden was established about three years ago. The aim is to give people a place to grow their own food and promote enviromental responsibility.

Their simple living workshops series brings in experts to speak about adobe construction, organic gardening and permaculture, soil, composting and worm farming.
